About

Carrie Lorraine has studied photography at Pennsylvania College of Art and Design, Maryland Institute College of Art, and Millersville University. She earned her Bachelor of Art in fine art photography with a minor in french from Towson University in Maryland.

She currently resides in Philadelphia, PA and travels extensively, working mostly in New York, Philadelphia, and Baltimore. Carrie enjoys taking on any project from weddings, to pet portraits, high fashion and anything in between.

Being behind a camera has been a passion of Carrie’s from a very young age, when she received her first camera from her father, who is also a photographer, shooting a wide variety of motor sports. She began to study black and white film processes in high school, along with many other art forms. Photography quickly became her favorite art form in college where she continued to feed her passion for 35mm processes. History of Photography and alternative processes were a few of her favorite classes, as she experimented with photographic techniques from the earliest forms of image capture to the digital means that we are fimiliar with today.

Incorporating different historical techniques into her professional and personal work sets her apart from many photographers who focus solely on digital image capture. Carrie is a strong believer that there is always more to learn about the art of photography, thus she continues to take classes and constantly strives to improve herself as an image maker.
